What does it mean to be a REN21 member?

REN21 members are expected to support REN21’s three main objectives:
   1) building collectively a sustainable energy future based on renewable energy;
   2) providing knowledge with data and information; and
   3) shaping debates to make how we think about renewable energy evolve.

Membership does not require any financial commitment. Instead, members are required to
contribute to the work of our community of 2000+ committed members. Examples include:

   • providing uptodate data during data collection process for the status reports, e.g., sharing
insights via an interview
   • taking part in the peerreview process of our different report series
   • participating in the annual Steering Committee or General Assembly meeting
   • participating in REN21 events, e.g., REN21 Academy, International Renewable Energy
Conferences, informal gettogether (IRECs)
   • supporting REN21’s outreach and communication activities
   • being an ambassador for REN21 within and outside of the renewable energy community
   • supporting work with voluntary financial contribution
